I think we've witnessed the initial statement of a top prospect and future European star. Meek is huge, charismatic, actually asked to fight that little Psycho and carries a fuckin axe around. An AXE! He just beat a top top guy. Can't logically rank PaulHarris over him.CDF47 wrote:stu3ufc wrote:I dont agree with rousimar dropping behind andrei for that surprise loss
he's beaten way better guys and askren grapple fuck koreshev so bad and exposed his 0 ground game.
I'm thinking 7 spot for Palhares since he lost to a solid but un-ranked fighter.
This was his coming out party. He deserves a hefty rank. That was an epic win.

I agree. See post above, I'm thinking 6 spot for Meek and 7 spot for Palhares.

I understand Stu but Meek beat him so he must now be ranked above him. Because of this and since Meek was un-ranked, I think the 6 and 7 spots are best.

Funky Ben
Koreshkov
#1 and #2 are pretty clear IMO. It's not the same Koreshkov that Askren crushed. Also, Ben Askren is invincible under Unified Rules, everyone knows this. Spartan beat the shit out of Bendo. One of the years WTF moments for casual fans.
If MVP beats Gonzalez (5 fight MMA win streak, kickboxed Daley at Dynamite to a decision L) where would that put him, I wonder.

I think that is pretty clear as well. Koreshkov has definitely improved since their fight. The Benson fight really showed that with the dominant performance which was definitely one of the more surprising moments this year; especially for the casual fans.
Askren has looked pretty unstoppable in the cage.
If Page beats Gonzalez, I'm thinking a 7 spot or so.

That's possible. If these two fought, I think I would take Palhares as well. This one is a bit of a tough call because it could go a couple different ways but I think Palhares would take him out.

I think he'd have a lot of trouble getting to them. Koreshkov by flying knee 1:21 R2stu3ufc wrote:rousimar would leg lock Koreshev

This is the type of fight I'd like to see on a RIZIN NYE show.

I'd like to see Koreshkov with soccer kicks, stomps, and grounded knees added to his arsenal. He would be dangerous in the RIZIN ring.
