Hi there fight fans this is the day we've been waiting for as we get this world cup started off with the first fight.We've assembled representatives from around the globe to battle it out for us and give us the best Tournament possible. So let's get on with it already I'm itchin for action and the JUST BLEED GODS demand their payment....

Hikaru Sato (24-24)38 yrs old 5'9 218lbs 

Hikaru is a true Pancase Veteran who has wins over Shannon Ritch,Jonathan Ivey,Ryo Chonan,and Daisuke Nakamura.He has a very good grappling skillset with good top control and patience to set up the submission for the finish.His standup isnt elite but he can hurt you with straight power punches and has a decent kicking game as well.His takedowns are simple yet effective and he is pretty durable though at HW he is the smallest of the competitors.

Dalcha Lungiambula (9-1) 5'10 215lbs 

Dalcha is EFCs Lhw and Hw champion and is getting better every fight.He is a short stalky guy with power in his hands and just power in general. He also has a solid Judo background which he uses in the clinch for takedowns and in scrambles to defend.His striking is surprisingly quick and coming up to Hw his gas tank hasn't suffered at all.He is on the rise and looking for big names to add on his resume.








This fight is a battle if Veteran warrior spirit and the hungry young lion......Can Satos veteran fight IQ and edge in grappling allow him to take out the surging African?Can Dalcha overwhelm Sato with strikes and avoid the takedown???

Yeah, some nice skills Dalcha has in that video.

Cdf47 look up his fight that won him the hw title against van zyl it's like 15-17 mins but shows he can deal with the bigger boys too.

He is definetly a guy to watch on real life and this tourney.

He sounds and looks good.  I will have to keep an eye out on him. Might have to check out that video of that fight you mention. He is a really good rep. for his org.

I waited to vote or comment until I had a chance to watch the videos.

Definitely thought Dalcha was the smart money pick from just looking at their records (including who they've fought), and on watching the videos I chose Dalcha by KO. He is both powerful and strong, and I think the safe pick is for him to get the knockout.

This is an interesting concept. Obviously to really know who'd win they'd have to fight, as you can't have fights on paper, but still you can have predictions, and so this is a bit of a prediction tournament, I suppose.

But, this one isn't one of the harder picks, but still worthwhile.

Based on this concept though, I'm not sure if anyone can beat Cormier.

Sorta wish Fedor was included, but it's understandable that you went with Bader, since he's the Bellator lightheavyweight champion and there's no heavyweight champion.

This may seem like a strange prediction, but excepting the UFC roster--there are probably a few tough heavyweights that can give Cormier a test but I don't actually know them and don't follow the UFC that much--the fighter that I'd pick to challenge Cormier is probably Sergei Kharitonov.

I think Cormier would win. But, Kharitonov has a unique style, and I'd like to see how he'd match up with Kharitonov.

Cormier would most likely look to wrestle, and would probably find success. But Kharitonov actually has deceptive takedown defense. He uses range effectively, and doesn't seem to get taken down that often. Cormier is a two-time Olympian, and I have to think he'd put Kharitonov on his back. Kharitonov might dictate range enough to catch him with a right uppercut--his most potent weapon--coming in though.

Kharitonov would certainly be the underdog, but if I were king of MMA for a day, I might like to make that fight.

Good call on Kharitonov. I'd love to see Cormier vs. Kharitonov, Bader, or Fedor.  All three of those fights intrigue me for Bellator HWs.
