Sage Northcutt Inks Exclusive Deal With ONE Championship

ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced that “Super” Sage Northcutt has signed an exclusive contract to compete in ONE Championship.

Also, it was revealed that Northcutt has requested to make his debut at ONE: CALL TO GREATNESS in Singapore on 22 February 2019, but details have not been confirmed yet.

The 22-year-old from Katy, Texas, is a black belt in taekwondo and Shuri-ryū karate, and experienced phenomenal success in tournaments as a youth. He won an amazing 77 world youth championships in karate, and put together a perfect 15-0 record in kickboxing.

“Super” currently owns an impressive 11-2 record, with five victories by knockout and three via submission.

I saw this coming, because Northcutt was in the audience at the last event.

Moreover, he has a really cool style, with the traditional background, and I can see that being appealing in Asia.

I actually didn't realize he was so young.

I wonder if he'll fight in any kickboxing matches there. I'd like to see more MMA guys do that.

Another good signing for ONE.  I know a friend of the family that was in the same karate tournaments as Sage as a kid.

Ah yeah, that would make sense.

Remember how the UFC was acting like he was one of their future stars? I wonder how they feel getting talent snatched by other promotions.

That's right they put a lot of hype around him. He was one of the first, if not the first, fighter from Dana White's Looking for a Fight.

That's true he was the first or the second. 

1 the zombies will be saying easy fights for him .. Man you gotta love how the assume every fight outside the ufc is easy.
