Russian fighter Pavel Gordeyev (13-1) will lead the MMA tournament is RCC: INTRO, which will be held on March 9 in Yekaterinburg. His rival will be ex-UFC fighter Godofredo Pepey Castro (14-6).

Pavel Gordeyev is in the top 30 strongest fighters of Russia in lightweight. In 2018, he spent four fights, and his winning streak has six fights. The upcoming fight will be his second at RCC tournaments. It is worth noting that after the victory over Arthur Lima (6-1) at the end of last year, he moved to Yekaterinburg and signed an agreement with the team “Archangel Michael”.

His rival made his debut as a professional at the age of 16 in 2003, but in six years he had only three fights in a professional. Only in 2010, Castro completely abandoned his amateur career and two years later made his debut in the UFC, where he performed until 2018. Interestingly, he completed 13 of 14 victories ahead of time.

In the co-main event of the RCC: INTRO tournament,  Russian fighter Denis Lavrentiev (6-1) will  fight with Bellator veteran Anthony Leone (17-8) from the United States.
