Sounds like Bader is a Bellator fighter now. He should get an immediate shot at Davis based on his recent performance and past win over him.

Good to see Bellator pick up another top 5 fighter. Bader was one of the best LHWs in the ufc. The only guys better than him are Jones (who is always suspended), Cormier (who is always injured), Gus (who is always injured) and Rumble. Losing him hurts the ufc's already weak LHW division.
Meanwhile, Bellator's LHW division is looking pretty exciting:
Ryan Bader
Phil Davis
Liam McGeary
King Mo
Wanderlai Silva
Chael Sonnen
Rampage Jackson (sort of, as he doesnt cut anymore)
Tito just retired
Anyone know if Stephan Bonnar is fighting again or did he just sign for 1 fight against Tito?
I would like to see them pick up Lyoto Machida as well, since his brother fights in Bellator already.

They are losing a top notch LHW. That LHW division for Bellator is looking real good.
I think Bonnar might be done. Lyoto would be an excellent pickup if they could get him.
In the HW division, I believe Werdum only has one fight left with UFC. Would be huge if they could get him for a future Fedor fight.

^That would be awesome. And I think Werdum is mad at the ufc about something, I forgot what.

There was an interview not long ago where Werdum was talking about leaving UFC but he still has 4 fights left so that probably isn't happening.

I didn't realize he had that many fights left. That one interview made it sound like he only had one fight left.

Possibly even as a final retirement fight for both fighters. It will be a huge fight if it happens.

Yeah, either immediate title shot or one contender fight.

^^^They are having him fight Mo. Should have had Mo fight Kongo for the strap and Bader fight Davis for the strap.

Bellator will likely use davis vs bader as a headliner.
Mo isnt a real hw he fights wherever the money's at but hes a lhw and hasnt fought many hws to be in title contention. This is a #1 contender lhw fight whoever wins gets the shot at davis.

I think a straight title shot made most sense as well but a single contender fight is alright.

That's a pretty good plan. I thought they might do a contender fight first.
