RIZIN announced 3 new bouts to the RIZIN15 card on April 21st held at the Yokohama arena. A Light Heavyweight clash between Karl Albrektsson and Christiano Frohlich, 2 women’s Flyweight bouts and Ulka Sasaki’s withdraw due to health issues as Justin Scoggins steps in for the late replacement.

Young Swedish standout Karl Albrektsson (8-2) will be taking on promotion newcomer and Wanderlei Silva’s protégé and extremely aggressive Christiano Frohlich (10-4) in a Light Heavyweight matchup. With the promotion’s first ever Light Heavyweight title match taking place, the winner of this bout will most likely be considered one of the top contenders to challenge the belt.

RIZIN looks to grow their women’s Flyweight division by adding 2 fights. Judo Ace Kana Watanabe (6-01) will be taking on Polish military fighter Justyna Haba (1-0). Shinju Auclair (2-1) will be facing Mexican representative Saray Orozco (3-2).

Ulka Sasaki (22-6-2) has been forced to withdraw from his schedule fight against Kai Asakura (12-1) due to a visceral infection and Justin Scoggins (11-6) has stepped in as a replacement.

That's great Tenshin will be fighting. Would have been cool if it was another MMA fight for him.

Justin Scoggins has suffered a knee injury during practice and has been diagnosed by the doctor unable to compete.

The official statement said that the injury was “Meniscus and ligament tear in the knee”.

Sucks he got hurt. Card is still solid though.

Shinju Nozawa-Auclair was supposed to face Saray Orozco. However, Nozawa-Auclair suffered an ankle injury during training and was forced to withdraw from the fight. Kanako Murata step in on short notice against Orozco.

I hope Jiri takes the LHW title this weekend.

Just a couple days away until this big Rizin event. Getting stoked for some JMMA.

and uh the people who say uh ufc was the top promotion back then okay so the ufc which was struggling to the point zuffa was going to sell and most had 10k people in an audience was bigger then pride which was booming and at times had 40k-60k people in the audience the ufc was bigger ??

some things never change considering the same is happening with rizin bellator one championship etc it just amazing how one sport have fans who think there should be only player in town . as for the ufc yes it has a big rooster of 500 fighters how many people know 500 fighters ? you would have to be a die hard to know every fighter on the ufc rooster .

i want rizin to build a rooster in my opinon it doesn't need 500 guys/gals on the rooster

Of course that is what they say. Same old story from the shills and brainwashed zombie fans. True fans know there is a world of MMA outside the UFC brand. PRIDE was biggest org. back then clearly. Today the UFC is biggest but they have competition all over the world which is good for the sport.
