The up-and-down ratings trend for Bellator Fighting Championships' Spike TV broadcasts continued this past week as 154,000 viewers tuned in for Friday's Bellator 78 event.
That number was up just slightly from the 149,000 who watched the previous week's Bellator 77 fight card.
MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) on Tuesday confirmed the ratings numbers with industry sources.
Bellator 78 took place this past Friday, Oct. 26, at Nutter Center in Fairborn, Ohio. The main card featured the semifinals of the eight-man tournament for Bellator's Season 7 welterweight prize.
Former welterweight champion Lyman Good earned a second-round TKO over Michail Tsarev in the evening's main event. He now meets fellow Bellator 78 winner Andrey Koreshkov, who earned a first-round TKO victory over Marius Zaromskis.
Overall, Bellator's five Season 7 events now have averaged 162,600 viewers.
Bellator's current season is the final one on MTV2 before the organization moves to the higher-rated Spike TV, the former home of the UFC, in early 2013.
