No, but he was friends with them. No wonder there were so many dodgy pens at the Toilet over the years. And it's still continuing with Gollum at the helm, judging by yesterday's game.KSW wrote:Ferguson paid them?Sweet Pea Is My Mom wrote:^ Was a great game, I saw the HLs. 3-2 with Alexis Sanchez scoring an injury time winner.

Messi and C.Ronaldo both scored hattricks over the week. Amazing stuff from both players.

I guess Chelsea's rent boy fans shouldn't have chased Rafa out of the bridge ... but they wanted their bus back.

Annnnnnnnnnnd Mario misses his first penalty ever in competitive football. And scored a goal. And was sent off in injury time in Milan's 1-2 loss to Napoli.Sweet Pea Is My Mom wrote:
Fun fact that you may not know: Mario's only assist in his entire City career was for Aguerooooooooooooooooo's goal against QPR, which won City the title.
He's also never missed a penalty in his playing career so far - 25/25, and he is the designated PK taker for Milan & Italy.
In other news, Rafa is working wonders with the Neapolitans, as is Mazzarri with Inter.

Madrid is such a piece of shit team. It's blatant that they pay off the refs to win games. Anybody watch Elche vs Madrid over the weekend? Pepe pulls down a player and falls down with them. The ref signals for a Penalty Kick in the 5th minute of extra time, eventhough injury time was only extended to 3 minutes.

Barca have won many games as well thanks to the refs. Big teams usually get the calls, unfortunately. But yes, the Elche-RM finish was indeed a joke.RussianTopTeam wrote:Madrid is such a piece of shit team. It's blatant that they pay off the refs to win games. Re: All things Football/Soccer/Futbol/Fotboll
Big day of matches today.
Perhaps none bigger than Sweden-Austria.
I mis-read the stats before. It's as close to a must-win as it can get really for Sweden. Austria faces winless Faroe Islands in their final group match, guaranteed win. Sweden faces 7-1-0 Germany in their last match.
The way it stands, two draws would also be enough to get Sweden through, although obviously a hoping for a draw against Germany is still tough going (though of course very possible).
A loss to Austria though will basically end Sweden's run.
A draw to Austria and a loss to Germany will see Austria through on goal differential, if I'm not mistaken.
Uraguay-Ecuador is also a pretty big match, although with less at stake. In the end, one of these two teams will automatically qualify, and the other will have a playoff with Jordan for a final spot.
The Group H matches in UEFA should sort out a lot, with England, Ukraine, and Montenegro still in heated competition. Even Poland still has a legitimate chance.
Finally, Mexico-Panama is yet another huge match, with these two teams still neck and neck for the 4th place spot (for a playoff with UEFA).
Getting down to the wire.

Re: All things Football/Soccer/Futbol/Fotboll
My Barca tied today to a resilient Osasuna that decided to sit back and park the bus for 90 minutes. It was very frustrating to watch for me but Barca failed to capitalize on the chances they had. Oh well, at least Atletico Madrid lost which means Barca is still in 1st place on the table

We have been on the offensive for years.

I think Brazil at home must be the favorites.
But, I think we might get a surprise this time. I don't know what it will be.
