Cage Warriors 'bounty' bonus structure
Mon Aug 18, 2014 11:04 am
The European-based Cage Warriors promotion is adding a new element to its fight night bonus structure.
According to CWFC CEO Graham Boylan, the promotion will award $2,000 (USD) to any fighter who ends his fight via any of these finishes:
1. Head kick knockout
2. Twister
3. Knee bar
4. Heel hook
5. Gogoplata
6. Flying knee knockout
7. Superman punch knockout
8. Gone in 60 seconds (KO)
9. Spinning knockout
10. Slam knockout
Boylan dubbed the new bonus structure a "bounty," and they will be in addition to their already-in-place Fight, Knockout and Submission of the Night bonuses.

Good to see more technical submissions being encouraged, maybe people will see something cool rather than shitty guillotines and RNC's all the time.

But anyone else who finishes with armbar, guillotine, darce choke, triangle choke, arm triangle, kimura, anaconda choke, Ezekiel choke, standing Ezekiel choke, neck crank, any sort of modified guillotine, uma plata or just happens to ko an opponent after 60 secs is shit out of luck???
I like the idea of rewarding finishes and encouraging technical finishes but why split hairs?
Just have flat rate finish bonus fir submission finishes and if it's something extraordinary like a flying armbar or something kick in an extra bonus.
Same for knockouts just 1 flat rate but if its a flashy ko kick up the bonus.
Otherwise its a bit weird way to gimmicky and pointless IMO
