Today i turn 30...,,jeez where did my 20's go....

Seems older i get the faster time goes by i hope i can somehow slowdown and take in these moments that seem to be gone in the blink of an eye....

I'm 30 too, man.

They are just my friends, but I chilled with a 22 year old and a 23 year old girl really recently (separately I mean. Like in the last couple weeks, one a few days ago).

I'd just met them. I didn't want to lie about my age or nothing.

I thought they are young, and I just ask (in the flow of normal conversation of course), do you know how old I am? I'm 30. They just acted like they either don't care, or they already thought so (I couldn't tell which. Or maybe it was both. And that did happen twice).

30 is not past your prime, man. 30 is like you're in your prime.

I mean everyone is different of course. I don't know what I'm saying. It's no problem to pull a girl who's 22 or 23 or 25 or whatever you're into, just because you're 30. You can also party all you want, and go wherever you want.

30 is fucking awesome, man. I didn't even think about it. I went to Beijing for a month since I turned 30. And I'm going to Shanghai in a month and a half.

I haven't slept a single wink in like 44 hours for complex reasons, and I'm drinking a bit and watching the playoffs. I'm on like a natural Valium and alcohol high.

Huh.  I guess we're all about the same age then.  I'm 28.  I feel about the same as I have since I was 20 - 21 (when I was getting serious about my workouts).  The only difference is now all my joint injuries from training and fighting bother me a bit more.  [My wife keeps doing this thing to me [only she's more badass and uses her bare hands], but the injuries occurred years before I met her.  So any treatment at all is of little benefit.
I feel like that is the real difference when you get older.  All the breaks and tears that never healed completely just get worse with time and that is what getting "old" is.  By contrast, my wife is 30 and looks (and acts) like she is 15.  

I guess, that's where we are different, nodogosh, when I started college I was 23.  I was already 5 - 6 years older than everyone else who started there.  The students in my classes all thought I was a senior. So there was already this idea in the girls heads that I was "older".  (Multiple times I sat down at a cafeteria table and a professor would sit down with me and just start talking to me about his students. Then he would say, "What class do you teach?")
Then and now I find myself referring to 20 somethings as 'kids'.  I feel like I am old mentally, but physically I look like I just got past 20 years old.

Well, yesterday I just hit 30 (or 31 by the Chinese count). Incidentally, today marks my 6 year graduation anniversary from US Basic Combat Training. So, I am 30(1) with six years in the Army now.

Happy Birthday. I'm turning 37 in a month and I still feel good. The only difference I have noticed is I need a little more recovery time, but nothing major.
