Boxing just made the biggest fight ever. Dispite two different networks and promotions.
Where is Danelia's super fights? He cant even make Cyborg vs Rousey let alone Brock vs Fedor. Embarrassed for MMA fans right now.

Shoulda happened years ago...only desperate fools think this fight will ever happen, and if it does at this point .....who cares?
LOL
"The reservations website for the MGM Grand, where the fight will take place, soon showed that rooms had sold out, but a representative at the hotel said that some standard rooms were still available by phone. By 8 p.m. ET, wait times to make reservations by phone neared 40 minutes. On Friday night, a room at the MGM Grand that usually costs $190 on a Saturday night was available for the night of May 2 for $705.
Even nearing a sellout of rooms is not an easy thing to do. The MGM Grand has the second most rooms for a hotel in the world (more than 6,800) only surpassed by the Venetian, which is also in Las Vegas."

^^^^^truth
mma is a joke compared to boxing
The Zuffa mma audience is made up of cage fighting fans and low character people. UFC events don't draw/bring in high rollers, big boxing events do.

Khan wants Cotto, Bradley, Marquez or Mayweather-Pacquiao winner at Wembley Stadium
Mon Mar 09, 2015 5:27 pm
By Scott Gilfoid: In a clear sign that Amir Khan’s adviser Al Haymon still hasn’t found an opponent for his next fight in May or June, Khan is still yakking about him wanting to fight Miguel Cotto, Tim Bradley, Juan Manuel Marquez and the winner of the Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. Manny Pacquiao fight. This time, Khan is saying he wants them to come over to the UK and fight him at Wembley Stadium in London. I really don’t see that happening.
If Haymon had already found an opponent for the 28-year-old Khan to fight, he’d be keeping his yap shut and focusing on the course that he has in front of him. I mean, the last thing that Khan would be doing is looking past a dangerous opponent if Haymon had already set Khan up with someone dangerous.
I see Khan fighting the likes of Antonin Decaire, Josesito Lopez, Chris Van Heerden, Kevin Bizier, Yoshihiro Kamegai or Frankie Gavin in his next fight rather than a live body that possesses a threat to knocking him out.
It’s going to be someone who is technically ranked in the top 15, like the above fighters are. But the reality is that I don’t see Khan fighting anyone that has the potential to knock him out cold.
Can you imagine what it would be like if Khan were to fight Marcos Maidana again or someone like Lucas Matthysse, Kell Brook or Danny Garcia? Those are high risk fights for Khan.
With Khan still talking about wanting to fight Cotto, Bradley, Marquez and the Mayweather-Pacquiao winner, it shows pretty clearly that there still isn’t an opponent for Khan. That obviously isn’t a good sign for Khan, because he’s already been out of the ring for the past three months since his last fight against the light hitting Devon Alexander last December.
At this point even if Haymon did name an opponent for Khan, it would likely take him three to four months to get ready for the fight. We’re probably looking at Khan not returning to the ring until June or July at the earliest. But if Khan does return that soon, it’s likely to be another weak puncher that he gets put in with rather than a stiff test.
Khan is mentioning those fighters, but he’s obviously not going to get any of those guys because he brings nothing to the table in terms of world titles, and recent big wins. Khan hasn’t fought for a world title since he was whipped by Lamont Peterson in 2011.
Marquez won’t fight Khan, because he’s looking for an opponent with a world title. Bradley fights for Top Rank, so he can’t fight Khan due to him being with Al Haymon. Cotto won’t fight Khan, because Cotto is looking to take a voluntary defense of his WBC middleweight title.
That means we’re likely to see Cotto in with a soft job that will be easy for him to beat and look good against. The last thing Cotto wants is someone he’ll need to chase around the ring for 12 rounds before he eventually scalps them.
Mayweather and Pacquiao will likely fight each other again in an immediate rematch rather than them wasting a fight against someone that has no fan base in the U.S like Khan.

How many years has this been in the making now? Wonder what made them agree all of a sudden.
