Didn't see this coming though I knew everyone here would love it. I hope this means people stop force feeding us the UFC myth of Anderson Silva being the greatest of all time. No surprise though that people are coming to Silva's aid saying he did it because of his leg.

The thing that's most interesting for me is that, once again, a UFC fighter tests positive a month before they're supposed to fight in the main event and the news doesn't come out until after the fight. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but you have to wonder if UFC is bribing the commission at this point. They have the most to lose. In fact, if Jones and Silva were suspended before these fights, there would be a good chance that the UFC would have to cancel those Pay-Per-Views.

Then when you looks at 55 wins (30 ko's won't be touched) only 8 freakin' decison wins it's just sick. Igor is Kareem Abdul Jabbar to Fedor's Jordan. Igor could be the best power puncher in MMA history and I think the best MMA kickboxer ever. Ever!

Not only those but look at his schedule. He fought nine times in March 1996. NINE TIMES IN A MONTH! I know people would argue his opposition wasn't elite but that's still insane. On November 12, 1997, he fought a one night, three man tournament. First fight lasted 7:13, Second fight lasted 35:00, and the Third Fight went 24:42. So in one night, he fought 1 hour, 6 minutes, and 55 seconds. In the PRIDE Openweight Grand Prix, his fight with Gary Goodridge was 10:14, his fight with Kazushi Sakuraba was 15:00, and his fight with Coleman was 18:09. That's 43 minutes and 23 seconds. No MMA fighter, even if they fought can, wouldn't consider this schedule.

To me, Vovchanchyn is like a prototype of Fedor with Fedor being the new and improved model. I consider them the best because I respect guys and girls who are willing to fight in bigger weight classes where they're giving up size, strength, reach, and weight all the while winning. Same thing with Kazushi Sakuraba and Kid Yamamoto. Sakuraba is a natural Middleweight and was regularly fighting at Light Heavyweight as well as Heavyweight fighters. Yamamoto is a natural Bantamweight and kicked ass at Lightweight.

When I look for a GOAT, I look for someone that beats their opponent at their game. They let their opponent have the size, strength, reach and weight advantages and still beat them. Anderson Silva is a good fighter but he's a natural Light Heavyweight that cuts to Middleweight which was incredibly weak at the time all the while frequently having the size, strength, reach, and weight advantages. Meanwhile, he's said to be a great striker but how many great strikers did he ever face other than Vitor Belfort? None. Look at his fights with Leites and Maia. Both are great with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and he wanted nothing to do with their ground game but decided to just screw around.

It ain't easy be goat and being clean.
