I still remember back when martial artists and Zuffa heads were calling spin  kicks impractical and useless in a real fight.  I love to continue to be proven right.

Spinning techniques like backfists kicks and elbows are wasted movement and easily recognized and only used in movies and video games.....

Unorthodox movements,timings can be used to take out an over technical style fighter and vice versa.

The round kick to spin-kick combo is a classic in the traditional striking arts. No surprise to see it in a muay thai fight. We would see this in MMA if MMA didn't move away from these arts.
