Bellator/Glory Dynamite: Kickboxing-MMA Hybrid Event in September

Glory and Bellator team up for a hybrid card in September.  Both ring and cage will be used in the arena.

Fighters expected on the card are Joe Schilling, Tito Ortiz, Liam McGeary, and Paul Daley.

The ring is fine for both types of contests.

Can't wait for the Bellator main event of Tito/Ken 4.

Plenty of mma in America has beem in a ring throughout the years. Hook n shoot, Affliction, Superbrawl, Rings USA plus many others.

Any of those still around......how many years has it been since the last ring event was held in america.....?

I understand u prefer ring but to act like holding a ring event is even possible for mma in america is crazy.

Again marketing a japanese style mma in the US maket place isn't a priority especially when that style is not even popular in the birth place of its inception.

I'm glad there holding this hybrid event but it should just be held in the ring. MMA is better in the ring and obviously the kickboxing belongs in the ring. Ring suits both combat sports very well.

Cages are for monkeys who throw poop. Speaking of which, how about Tito Ortiz vs. winner of Shamrock/Slice in a kickboxing match? Winner gets Goldberg.

The american promotions can use a ring if they want to. It´s not banned. The problem is how everyone wants to be like UFC and therefore they copy that version of mma.

To get rid of Zuffa we need to get rid of the Zuffa version of the sport. A good start would be Glory/Bellator co-promotion in the ring.

Imagine if IFL hadn't been goofy ass rules with 4 min rounds and team bullshit. Affliction had the right idea and there were some good Bodog shows but the last American MMA I remember with a ring was Nick Diaz's one off WAR event.

Rings are not banned in America.

Regulated mma in America is still a relatively new thing. As long as as it's been going on there have been both ring and cage events. Only a Zuffa fanboy or somebody repeating Zuffa talking points would act like holding a ring event in America would be "crazy".

Pathetic! There is nothing wrong with a ring. I'm sure guys like Queen Mo and Phil Davis cant fight without a cage helping them to run around and use for takedowns.
