Wand signs with Bellator

It looks like Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva has signed with Bellator. He will not be able to fight stateside until next May. I wonder how they will use him; if they will just sit on his contract and market him until then, or if they might loan him out to Rizin in the meantime if that is possible. It is good to see him get signed, but if he can't compete in Japan that takes away a lot of options since he only has a limited time left in the sport

I say they will use him  for promoting events  and i say since they have  a partnership with rizin most likely will send him there to fight .

Just hope that Wand contract with Bellator will allows him to fight in other promotions like RIZIN.

Every bellator contract comes option to fight outside bellator most don't because generally Bellator pays better.Its usually guys who want to stay really active or who compete in other combat sports.

Wanderei wants some warm ups id imagine hes returning to training and will likely fight on next rizin card.Then rematch with leben in Bellator as a warmup to cage mma then give him tito,rampage,fedor.

I think its great if he will be fighting in both RIZIN and Bellator. He can't fight in US for 14 months so I think we could see him on some RIZIN cards this year; hopefully still in that possible GP in the fall and NYE.

Is there a concern that if he fights outside of the US while he's suspended they might punish him and delay him further?

No hes free to fight outside the powers of nsac and csac if he fights in rizin its an entirely different governing body.

If bellator used wandy in one if theur international shows they technically could get away with it too but might catch some BS next event they hold stateside.

I guess that rules out Fedor vs Wanderlei. Wouldn't make sense for Bellator to take a chance of getting their new big star KO'd.

According to his wikipedia page i know not the most accurate it did say he will fight either over seas or in indian casinos . They're will be a lot of interesting fights for him .

Are you saying that Athletic Commission has no jurisdiction in indian casinos?
IF he can fight in indian casinos, then can MMA event be held in indian casino with PRIDE rules because commissions has no jurisdiction?

They may not be able to stop Wand from fighting in an Indian casino, but they could be dicks to Bellator at every show after that as retribution. These commissions are childish

I don't know how it makes any sense for Bellator to let Wanderlei fight Fedor, but I'd like to see it.

Same way it honestly makes no sense for coker to help get rizin get on spike.Coker is genuinely helping jmma if he lets this go down.

But i dont think a wandy vs fedor fight will happen anytime soon.Wandy needs to get in shape....he himself said he wants a warm up fight or two before that.

And yes actually bellator is rarely under the jurisdiction of the nsac but like mentioned they could be dicks once bellator is in California csac could make waves.Generally athletic commissions stick together on bans and such.

I mean legally its all good they shouldn't be able to fuck with Bellator but lets be honest commissions are corrupt and woud likely try and screw shit up.

They are currupt. If promoters don't pay the bribes certain fights will not be sanctioned. It's happened so many times
