Isaiah Larson vs. Albert Duraev added to M-1 Challenge 32

Last fall these two guys impressed the fans with their gutsy performances and spectacular wins. Now it’s time for Isaiah Larson (14-6) and Albert Duraev (5-0) to meet in M-1 ring.

Last November fighter from St.-Paul, MN made his M-1 debut against light-heavyweight Alikhan Magomedov. First round looked more like one-sided beating, so there weren’t so many people in the audience who could give Isaiah any chances at this time. But then Larson put on one of the most impressive comebacks of the year, not only surviving under Alikhan’s attacks, but also attacking by himself and eventually forcing his opponent to tap on the fourth minute of second round, and scored an amazing victory that earned “Submission of the night” award.



If Larson’s fight is the winner of unofficial “Best comeback victory-2011 in M-1″ award, then Albert Duraev scored ih his promotional debut the victory that can be the biggest upset of the year 2011 in M-1.

In November Duraev, then-unknown even to the MMA fans even in his native Chechen Republic, took the fight against very experienced French middleweight Xavier Foupa-Pokam on short notice. Most of the fans and experts would bet on Pokam, who had almost 10 times more professional fights in his resume, but Duraev proved that he can be considered as one of the most talented young Russian fighters in middleweight division and won by triangle choke in the second round.

When these two fighters with big heart and high professional level will meet in the ring, you surely can expect great battle that will not leave anyone disappointed!

Even if Isaiah is a viking I´m rooting for Duraev. Great card!
