No Holds Barred: Angela Lee, Ben Askren, Shinya Aoki, Mei Yamaguchi, Chatri Sityodtong, ONE Championship Conference Call​

On this edition of No Holds Barred, host Eddie Goldman presents the September 14 international media conference call hosted by ONE Championship.

This call was to publicize their return to their home base of Singapore with a major show called ONE: Immortal Pursuit.

On the call were:

Angela Lee - ONE Women's Atomweight World Champion

Mei Yamaguchi - ONE world title challenger

Ben Askren - ONE Welterweight World Champion

Shinya Aoki - Former ONE Lightweight World Champion

Chatri Sityodtong​ - ​Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship

ONE: Immortal Pursuit will feature these four fighters in title bouts.

Last year the undefeated Angela Lee won a close but unanimous decision over Mei Yamaguchi to capture the first-ever ONE women's atomweight title. This was the only fight in which Angela Lee had not stopped her opponent. Now the rematch is set for this card, and is the third defense of her belt.

In what he has said will be his retirement fight, the undefeated Ben Askren will take on submission specialist and former ONE lightweight champion Shinya Aoki in a welterweight title fight.

All the fighters discussed their careers and their approach to their fights. In addition, Chatri Sityodtong discussed the continued growth of ONE Championship and their plans for the future.

ONE: Immortal Pursuit takes place Friday, November 24, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore. More details about this show are expected to be announced shortly.

I'd like to see ONE work with Rizin. They set out wanting to work with everyone so not sure why we don't see their fighters in Rizin.

Who knows why it would certainty give both organization a boost though I do see Rizin overtaking one fc I know I have said numerous times that's how I see it my opinion it is because Rizin is what Asian mma is about the ring soccer kick stomps knees the grand Prix 10 min first round .Where as one fc it had a pretty good rule set too til they got rid of some to appease the critics .

Forgot to mention the judging as well though I watched big ñog vs Rico Rodriguez gotta laugh at the people who said it was a robbery (in Japan taking a guy down and laying on top doesn't win fights).

The judging in Japan is way better than the 10 pt must system. It fits MMA better and is based mainly on damage and aggression scoring the fight as a whole.
