The current DEEP middleweight champion Young “RYO” Choi relinquished his title, therefore, in the upcoming DEEP82, ONE veteran Tatsuya Mizuno and Taisuke “Goten” Okuno will be fighting for the vacant title.
Mizuno signed with ONE in 2016 but after posting 1-2 record he was released from a Singapore-based promotion.
Okuno has been fighting at 170 and he is coming off from a loss against Ryuichiro Sumimura but he is going up to 185 for this fight.
Yuki Motoya make his comeback at DEEP 82.
Motoya lost to Kyoji Horiguchi via unanimous decision in April of last year. After this loss, he took a trip to Brazil to train at the Chute Boxe Academy. Motoya also left team CB IMPACT. And now, he is back in Japan and making a comeback after 10-month layoff.
Also, Ken Hasegawa is going back up at 185 lbs and will take on Genpei Hayashi and Rizin veteran Rin Nakai signed with DEEP and will take on Young-Jin Kim from Korea.
