B.J. Penn Wants VADA Testing, Rory MacDonald Accepts

BJ Penn is taking one of the first steps in trying to break into a new frontier of drug testing in the UFC. While the promotion was ahead of the curve in some respects by holding their own drug testing in countries and states without a solid testing policy, recent months have seen VADA take hold in major boxing matches.

This deeper level of testing throuh VADA has actually caught fighters with illegal substances in their systems, catching both Andre Berto ahead of his rematch with Victor Ortiz and Lamont Peterson before his rematch with Amir Khan.

Today Penn tweeted UFC boss Dana White and his UFC 152 opponent Rory MacDonald:

Here's his second:

Good idea. UFC will never force this upon their fighters as the Fertittas and Dana are roided out of their minds, and the testing $ would come out of their own pockets. MMA is filled with disgraceful drug cheats. Good to see BJ clean it up.

For sure, it really is time to start the clean up of PEDs in MMA.

By the way, the Twitter post that said that VADA will not reveal the positive results until after the fight is inaccurate. If someone tests positive before the fight, there is a procedure they follow, like with Andre Berto and Lamont Peterson, and the fight is off.

You look the time when they will took the test, these few boxing fights was on the pre fight press conference 2 months before the fight, the fight is already on september. But since the vada don't have any deal witch the ufc they are free to anunciated the results when they want but they need time. We are talking like these test are rules on combat sports in general at the time that alistar took the random droug test on the pre fight press conference only a boxing match of abner mares have the same tratament by the the NASC. These VADA test are cool but only few boxing matches had these test only big main events due you know why. (Manny, Chavez refused to do plus the Kid Chocolate/Wright din't had test despite they had agree on doing before).
