K-1 World Grand Prix Final 16 in Tokyo VTR
Tue Sep 25, 2012 4:48 pm
K-1 makes their return to Japan on October 14th in Tokyo with the K-1 World Grand Prix Final 16. The event will also be a Memorial event for the deceased Andy Hug, who was extremely popular in Japan. Well, the first VTR for the upcoming event has been released and it looks pretty much on par with older K-1 videos.

Badass! The cool thing about kickboxing is that there will be two superpowers, not just one. Glory vs K-1

Although it doesn't have the star power of Glory's Grand Slam event, the unpredictability of this tournament will make it just as good, imo.
On the subject of Glory, their 16 man Grand Slam round robin tournament will also take place in Japan in December.
So Kickboxing is looking awfully healthy in Japan right now.

Nice trailer.
It would be nice if they did a trailer for each fight like they used to do

i agree but still i prefer the route of k-1...they are going with some veterans but with new talent also...and the finals in nyc, thats a plus for me, if im alive im going...the problem is that k-1 is getting more ''american'' instead of japanese, but if the mayor money, tv deal with spike comes from the states, what you can do? take that route

i know that the big names are with glory, but as a fan that wants to go live and watch it, k-1 gives me economically that chance...

I worked when they co-promoted with Rumble Of the Kings in may but I´ll try to catch the next event here. The K-1 finals in NY will be great.MR.WILLIE wrote:Johan Lofgren......good for you bro, so you are going????
