Marlon Sandro says he's fighting Dustin Neace at Bellator 81 in Rhode Island Empty Marlon Sandro says he's fighting Dustin Neace at Bellator 81 in Rhode Island

After coming up short in the Bellator Season 6 featherweight tournament finals, Marlon Sandro will look to get back on track next month.

Sandro (22-4 MMA, 5-2 BFC) on Saturday told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that he's fighting Dustin Neace (23-18 MMA, 0-0 BFC) on Nov. 16 at Bellator 81, which takes place at the Ryan Center in Kingston, R.I., with a main card on MTV2 following prelims on Spike.com.

Bellator 81 will be headlined by a pair of semifinals in the Season 7 lightweight tournament.

Though Bellator officials have not yet announced the Sandro-Neace fight, it is likely to be a part of the main card as one of two fights leading into the lightweight tournament semifinals between Rich Clementi (45-21-1 MMA, 2-1 BFC) and Marcin Held (11-2 MMA, 3-1 BFC) and Ricardo Tirloni (15-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) vs. Dave Jansen (18-2 MMA, 4-0 BFC).

Sandro reached the Season 6 featherweight tourney finals with a first-round submission win over Roberto Vargas in March and a split-decision win over Alexandre Bezerra in April. But in the finals at Bellator 68 in May, he dropped a unanimous decision to Daniel Straus with scores of 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28.

The loss was Sandro's second under the Bellator banner – and second in a featherweight tournament final. In Bellator's 2011 "Summer Series," Sandro had decision wins over Genair da Silva and Nazareno Malegarie before being knocked out by Pat Curran, who went on to stop Joe Warren this past March to become the 145-pound champion.

Neace is a bit of a journeyman despite being just 26 and pro for a little more than six years. The 41-fight Midwesterner has lost two straight and three of his past five fights. The Season 14 cast member of "The Ultimate Fighter" has not seen action since a second-round submission loss to Bryan Caraway at the TUF 14 Finale this past December.

Prior to that, Neace was submitted at a regional event in his home state of Indiana before making the cut to be a part of TUF 14. In Neace fights, it's a good bet there will be a submission involved. Of his 41 career fights, 73 percent have ended with a submission. He has 18 of his own in 23 victories, but when he loses, 12 of 18 are the result of him tapping.

The latest Bellator 81 card now includes:

Rich Clementi vs. Marcin Held - lightweight tournament semifinals
Dave Jansen vs. Ricardo Tirloni - lightweight tournament semifinals
Dustin Neace vs. Marlon Sandro*
