I think Gonzaga was done dirty.

Yes Browne landed the first elbow clean but the other 4 were blatantly on the back of the head.

Gonzaga was knocked out by an elbow to side of head, the rest afterwards were illegal. Since he was knocked out already, what should the proper call be? Honestly, I'm okay with the result, as I thought it could've went either way.

What doesn't make sense to me is how is that any different than 12 to 6 elbows?

Nope. Its actually two kinds of illegal, 12-6 elbows and back of the head.

equivalent to grabbing someones hair and kneeing them in the face on the ground.

refs are inconsistent at best and are usually just shit.

To both extremes, Mirgliotta ruled this a no contest.

It was blatantly illegal but the UFC doesn't care about that: the guy they wanted to win won his fight. Browne is known for his dirty tactics - he battered McSweeney in the back of the head, resulting in a large gash - and he gets away with it once again.

This kind of stuff makes me sick and turns me from MMA, honestly.
