February 18th, 2012! Three Title Fights At The 57th Impact
By N.O.B. – December 22, 2011
Two title fights have been announced for the 2012 February 18th DEEP 57 Impact event.
A Korean who I’ve been raving about for quite a while now and who’s finally getting some recognition, Doo Ho Choi, will take on SRC veteran and former DEEP Lightweight champion Kazunori Yokota to determine the DEEP Featherweight champion.
DEEP Bantamweight champion Takafumi Otsuka will defend his belt for the first time as well as get a chance to avenge a loss when he faces veteran Yoshiro Maeda who defeated Otsuka at DEEP 50 Impact in 2010 in a very close contest.
DEEP Lightweight champion Mizuto Hirota will also defend his title for the first time since upsetting Katsunori Kikuno when he battles the man who uses animal moves in fights, Seichi Ikemoto.

The 57th Impact! Women’s Title Fight
By N.O.B. – January 9, 2012
Two fights were added to the February 18th DEEP 57 Impact event, which already features three title fights, on the 6th.
George Lucas’ daughter Amanda Lucas will take on popular female pro-wrestler Yumiko Hotta in the fourth title fight of the card to decide the DEEP Women’s Open Weight Champion.
Also added, a clash between DREAM participants as Yusaku Nakamura will face DJ.taiki.
The next DEEP 57 Impact card announcement is tomorrow.

Judo Vs. Karate! Megaton Title Fight Announced
By N.O.B. – January 10, 2012
New fights were added to DEEP 57 Impact today.
The fifth title fight of the card will be a DEEP Megaton (Open-Weight) title fight between former Judoka and undefeated MMA fighter Levan Razmadze from Georgia and Karateka and DEEP Light Heavyweight GP runner-up Ryuta Noji. Definitely Razmadze’s toughest fight yet.
The best announced fight of today is probably Shoji (Maruyama) vs. Tatsunao Nagakura which could turn out to be extremely entertaining.
Grappler Katsuya Toida returns to take on Makoto Kamaya who is currently on a 7-fight winning streak.
Megaton Seigo (Mizuguchi) will battle Hirohide Fujinuma and The Outsider alumni Masato Kobayashi will face Tatsuyuki Nakamura.

The 57th Impact! Gono And Nakamura Clash
By N.O.B. – January 18, 2012
Four new fights have been announced for the big DEEP 57 Impact card.
Akihiro Gono will finally make his MMA return after several Kickboxing matches since the end times of Sengoku to take on the master of flying armbars Daisuke Nakamura.
Two real veterans will meet as Hiromitsu Kanehara will face Daijiro Matsui.
Former Kickboxer Yuki who has converted to MMA, joined Yoshihiro “KISS” Nakao’s wrestling-heavy Team Tackler gym, and gone 2-0 will battle Bernard Ackah.
DEEP regular Yoshitomo Watanabe will fight Bungeling Bay’s Naoki Samukawa.

Yeah this is too good to miss. Some super crazy match ups. I am loving all the title fights. The Kanehara fight will probably just be a sad nostalgia trip for me..
Also, DEEP needs to rename "Women's Open Weight" to "Women's Megaton"

Otsuka/Maeda II, Choi, Hirota, Levan, Gono/Nakamura, Yusaku/DJ.taiki, and Daijiro/Kanehara all deserve a fuck yes.
