Anderson Silva - 4 fights = 1.6/year
GSP - 3 fights  = 1.2/year
Jon Jones - 7 fights =  2.8/year
Jose Adlo - 4 fights = 1.6/year
Demetrious Johnson - 8 fights = 3.2/year

Jeff Monson - 15 fights = 6/year

Fedor Emelianenko - 40 fights = 3.33/year

No excuse for Anderson, but for the others, they've seem to have been hit pretty hard with the injury bug in the last three years.

Benson still seems to fight near the rate he did in WEC and before Cruz was put on the shelf, it seemed like he averaged about three fights a year.

Fedor from the time he left PRIDE could barley 'average' to find more than 1 fight a year from 2007 - 2010 that was not his choice. Dana was laughing and bad mouthing him about his fight activity.

Randy Couture - 19 fights - 11 years = 1.9/year
GSP - 17 fights (continuous) - 8.25 years = 2.1/year
Chuck Liddel -  13 (continuous) - 6 years = 2.2/year
Cain Velasques - 11 fights - 5 years = 2.2/year
Anderson Silva - 16 fights -  6.25 years = 2.6/year
Junior Dos Santos - 11 fights - 4.5 years = 2.6/year
Jon Jones -  13 fights - 4.8 years =  2.7/year

The UFC business model is ripping of their $60 PPV and $100-$1000+/seat fans by benching the top expensive talent and putting out 2nd, 3rd, 4th... stringers for a WHOLE LOT of their shows. Their bloated roster business model & not putting out their biggest stars every night is killing them. That's one big reason why there's only about a handful of active 'non-banned' members on Sherdog and the UG from 2008 or earlier. 2006's and under are almost extinct. Ask Roger Goodell if they ever had a mass die-off of long-time NFL fans.... or the NHL guy etc.
