People on tumblr who made gifs of UFC 179 are recieving DMCA notices

Basically the last way I ever saw UFC fights was watching animated gifs on tumblr. Well no more I suppose.

Gif makers and tumblr users jillsandwich (http://jillsandwich.tumblr.com/) and angryblackman (http://angryblackman.tumblr.com/) have both received copyright violations. Zuffa is sincerely scared that gifs will steal away from PPVs. They must be on the way down is the only reason I understand why they would do this to people giving the fighters free promotion.

scumbags need to be thrown in jail. When Im bored I go on the stream forums and report all the links to the FBI.

Really?  The UFC is still at this?  Is there really people out there who say, "I am so fired up about Jones/Cormier!  Can't wait to see the gifs after the fight!!!".  The only people who care about gifs are fans who missed a fight or loves to relive the knockouts and submissions.  Nobody forgoes watching an event live if they can help it.  I know back when I was first a jobless mma fan I would watch all the free stuff.  But now that I have a job, I pay for the events without a thought about putting up with live streams and gifs and highlights.  
I am ready to call out Zuffa for being just plain malevolent rather than stupid.  Gifs, are obvious free advertising for the UFC.  It does not hurt their bottom line at all and they know it.

They hired a company to do it that built unproven unreliable software to do it.
