Bellator bantamweight champion Marcos Galvao (17-6) will put his title on the line in October.

"Loro", who captured the 135-pound belt with a second-round submission victory over Joe Warren in March, will look to avenge his last loss against former teammate Eduardo Dantas (17-4)  at Bellator 144.

Bellator 144 is set to take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

Dantas was the Bellator bantamweight titleholder when Galvao  fought for the title for the first time, losing via second-round knockout. "Loro" went to win three in a row with a pair of knockouts to earn another shot at the belt, tapping Warren with a kneebar. After losing his belt in 2014, "Dudu" defeated Mike Richman via decision in May.

Highly touted welterweights Michael “Venom” Page (8-0) and “Irish” Brennan Ward (11-3) will return to Mohegan Sun Arena, where both fighters scored brutal knockout victories at July’s “Bellator 140: Lima vs Koreshkov,” resulting in each man earning a spot on ESPN SportsCenter’s Top 10. Opponents for both Page and Ward will be announced in the near future.

Cool i like both guys even tho ward talks like a crack baby from the trailor park dude can fight.

Great to see. Hopefully both will be given some competition. Ward can be a title contender but needs to continue to be tested. Page desperately needs to take that next step. His last fight was a step back and he needs a solid opponent instead of a tomato can.

Good fight this will be a fun one.

“Irish” Brennan Ward (11-3) will compete for the third time in 2015 when he meets Dennis “The Menace” Olson (14-9) in a welterweight contest at “Bellator 144: Galvao vs. Dantas 2,”

Ward is fresh off an first-round knockout of Roger Carroll at “Bellator 140: Lima vs. Koreshkov,” his second consecutive victory. “Irish” has competed in home state of Connecticut on three-straight occasions, but the crowd may be torn as he faces Olson, who also calls the New England area his home.
 
Olson fought valiantly against Paul Daley this past July, but ultimately was defeated in his third appearance under the Bellator MMA banner. “The Menace” has finished 10 of his 14 wins as a professional and will also be competing for the third time in 2015.
