After his explosive Bellator MMA debut, Hisaki Kato (5-1) will return to action on November 20 at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, OK., to main event “Bellator 146” against Melvin Manhoef (29-12-1, 2 NC).

The middleweight contest will serve as the main event of “Bellator 146: Kato vs. Manhoef,”

Kato, a 32-year-old Japanese fighter, made an impact in his Bellator debut after upsetting 5-1 favorite Joe Schilling at Bellator 139 in June. The victory, which marked his fifth knockout in five career wins, came via Superman punch.

He now meets Manhoef, who recently suffered consecutive knockout losses to Schilling and Alexander Shlemenko (thought the Shlemenko loss was overturned due to the Russian’s failed drug test). The 39-year-old Surinamese-Dutch fighter and Strikeforce-DREAM vet has racked up a number of knockout losses during his recent MMA and kickboxing runs, and he faces the risk of another when taking on the hard-hitting Kato.

I'm not sure because he can knock anyone out if the fight is standing. To be fair, Manhoef is getting older and has been in wars while suffering some tough losses recently.

Kato stayed in range and put himself in bad positions hats off to the hoff great left.

Nice KO by Manhoef! Great to see him back in MMA. That was the shortest retirement in history, LOL.

I could watch Manhoef, Kato, and Shilling fight each other at every Bellator event. Exciting stuff.
