Bellator 145 ratings on Spike TV top UFC Fight Night 77 on FOX Sports 1

According to MMA Fighting, Bellator edged out UFC with an average of 814,000 viewers for its night of fights in St. Louis, while UFC from Sao Paulo the following night averaged 722,000 viewers.

I'm very happy i decided not to watch either show. Ive made a choice to not be a part of the cage fighter lifestyle.

Good win for Bellator.  Spike is available in about 10 percent more homes though (unless FS1 reach has gone up since February which it may have). If you add 10 percent to the UFC numbers, Bellator still beat them so they win either way.

True but UFC has the bigger name brand. Most people think UFC when they think MMA so it's still a sweet win. Nice to see these companies making growth while UFC appears vulnerable.

I agree, just pointing out an apples to apples comparison. Even when adding 10 percent to the UFC viewers (to equal it out), Bellator still won.

Best thing is this was a tentpole event featuring all bellator stars and homegrown talent and that got better numbers then big names like hendo and belfort.

will they ever get to a point where every show is a tent pole event? if zuffa is to fail we need big events from coker again like in the SF days.

Strikeforce was built over years of evolution bellator is still testing ideas and starting to get into a nice flow.

The rizin federation alliance brings an interesting angle as to how that pans out and benefits more then just rizin.

This was a good sign that your freakshow doesn't need to headline and that their talent can draw good numbers.

Future is bright my friends im quite happy:)
