Vadim Finkelstein: Fedor needs another opponent, Singh Jaideep is weak

The MMA community exploded when the news about legendary Russian MMA fighter Fedor Emelianenko's comeback was announced this summer. However, the news about Fedor not signing with the UFC, but rather with the new Japanese promotion Rizin FC was not quite welcomed. And that wasn't the end of the disappointment as last week there was a rumor about "The Last Emperor"s possible opponent -  K-1 kickboxer Singh Jaideep who has had only one MMA fight. Even former manager of Emelianenko, Vadim Finkelstein, thinks Jaideep is a bad choise.

"Definitely I believe that this is not an opponent for Fedor. But ... He (Fedor) makes all the decisions himself now. All my life all the buds were falling on me, because I supposedly did not let him in the UFC. Now I can say that I have nothing to do with this idea. No. In my opinion - Fedor needs another opponent. Singh is weak."

Then why didn't he allow one of his heavyweights to fight him ?

^Sounds like Fedor and Vadim are not on the greatest terms since Fedor left him as a manager.  

I was just hoping they would get Fedor someone like Couture or Kharitonov for this huge NYE return of JMMA event.  The return of JMMA is still great and I can't wait.  Will be cool to see Fedor fighting as well but a bigger name opponent would have been cool.  Not a huge deal though.

The zombies and shills will definitely and are definitely blowing it way out of proportion though which was expected regardless of opponent.

Yeah it does sound like fedor and vadim are not on great terms i even said in another post that they were going to talk shit regardless of who the guy is .

Jaideep is capable of killing Sergei Kharitonov, our present day Global-MMA ranked #3 HW.

Fedor needs to be careful if you ask me, not some give-me comeback fight. Wish people would be focus on Fedor's opponent and wish him the best rather than outside bullshit. I'm grateful for my tunnel vision sometimes.

Honestly tho in an mma fight you think jaideep could beat sergei....?

I dont think so kick boxing is one thing but mma is a different animal.

Real good point Audax.  This is a dangerous fight.  Jaideep beat down Sergei in kickboxing and is DEEP HW champ.  He is a threat.

If Sergei stood with him, it would be possible.  Jaideep took it to Sergei in that kickboxing fight.  I think Fedor will win but his opponent is a threat. Not the best opponent they could have got but a dangerous one. Still going Fedor round 2 TKO overhand right.
