Do you think Vinny is going to take the belt here? I wouldn't be surprised. I was thinking Branch but I could just see Vinny holding the WSOF title.
It's a close fight to call! Branch has become a dominant fighter recently but imp he is more suited as a mw than a Lhw. Vinny is capable of submitting anyone in this division, I think he can beat branch.....my pick branch via tko but I'm not surprised if Vinny submits him, great fight I'll put the odds 55-45 branch
We also have a Dagestan invasion with 5 fighters on the card

Sounds right to me. That is a tough one to call and could go either way.
Nice. Always good to see Easter Euro fighters. Many elite fighters come from there.

Vinny might but kind of hoping to see him sub Branch. When Vinny shows up to fight, he is pretty top notch. Would be pretty cool to see him with the belt.

I'm with you CD, rooting for Vinny, either way Branch will vacate the belt if he wins, so it's better to have a champ already...it would be Vinny's second big belt, this one and his m1 global run.

Vinny Magalhaes will be challenging for his first WSOF title at WSOF33 against David Branch. Despite the pressure that comes with competing in one of the biggest events in WSOF history, the Brazilian will feel right at home once the cage door closes.
Branch is one of the most successful MMA fighters in the game today, holding both the WSOF middleweight and light heavyweight titles. However, speaking with Magalhaes, he believes Branch’s success in the light heavyweight division is a result of being at the right place at the right time.
“I signed with WSOF as a champion, I was supposed to be in the tournament. Originally David Branch wasn’t even in the picture,” Magalhaes said. “It’s cool that he’s holding both titles but he should’ve never gotten that belt in the first place so I’m more than willing to take that belt from him.”
“How can he legitimize his title when the first guy he fought had like seven fights and wasn’t a big name? He was a last minute replacement and out of shape,” Magalhaes said. “In the title he fought Teddy Holder who’s now on a two fight losing streak.”
The Brazilian enters the contest on a four-fight winning streak, including three by way of submission. Magalhaes has won titles in a number of other MMA organizations and is among the best pure grapplers in the world today. He won the 2011 Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) in the 99-kilogram division. He also won a gold medal in the 2007 World Jiu-Jitsu Championships. His mantle of accomplishments is full of medals from grappling competitions against elite competition.
“I’m going to win because I’m a better fighter,” Magalhaes said. “Being a champion to me is something that’s normal.”

Good that they kept Moraes. They pay him well and he deserves it. He is one of the best in the world at 135.

Dugulubgov hospitalized and out of his fight vs Gaethje
Valiev vs Gutierrez moved to the main card
Gaethje will receive his fight money....and will headlined the ny show
Apparently Wsof has called the agents of Halsey and Newton with the possibility of adding both to the Lhw division

Sucks Gaethje fight is off but the card is still solid.
Halsey and Newton would be great signings if they can pick them up.
Going to really try to catch the fights live tonight. I am glad it is on a little later. Going to really try to escape from the Mother-in-Laws birthday party early to catch this one live!
