Probably a good move at that age with the shots he took over the years. Hope the best for him.

Sad but great news. Kazuyuki Fujita is one of my favorites, he had an underrated career, and was one of the guys that got me into the sport. Having said that, he never should've came back after the Overeem fight and I hate he ends his career on a six fight losing streak. I'm happy though he is retiring because I've worried about him fighting as he was known for taking punishment and I didn't want him to get killed out there or become another Gary Goodridge. I'm sure he can contribute in some way to Rizin but not in fighting.

True, that Overeem fight should have probably been his last. I was surprised to see him return from that as well. Glad he is retired now and didn't take too much damage in this last fight.

I kind of wanted to see him win his last fight just so he could get a win, but it's also good to build up a new star in Japan like Baruto.

If he could have done one more fight it would have been good so he could go out on a win but he probably sustained enough damage over the years.

Fujita will still have some awesome battles in pro wrestling ahead of him but as far as MMA, I agree it's a good time to retire, he has given us plenty of entertainment.
He was the only man to ever hurt Fedor when he was in his prime, and Fujita's battle with Ken Shamrock is a fucking CLASSIC! All the best to him, true warrior.
