I love it,Fedor is doing exactly what he said he would do take the toughest possible fights he could.

I can remember last year when it was announced that he would be facing Jaideep and all the haters started bitching and complaining that he was just
getting the fans hopes up and that he doesn't want to face the best competition and here he is 17 years after the start of his career facing someone who only like a year or so ago was a top ten hw,its not like he had to take this fight because he could have easily faced Carwin who is a much
more accomplished hw than Mitrione and also would be a much easier prey considering he hasn't fought in over 5 years but Fedor does indeed want to take the hard fights.

Be a good gauge to see were he is if he wins in devastating fashion show he is ready for anyone else in the top ten .

Too many dead end rumors flying to tell how real this is.

Would be nice for fedor to fight a top 10 hw .

Matt is definitely a step but he doesn't really have that "it" factor to me.  But he is ranked #20 at HW, where as Bigfoot is #28 and Lashley is #38. Kongo (#17) and Rampage (#14) are the only higher ranked HWs in Bellator so Fedor is going all out. Kongo would have been a more exciting fight to me actually; but this is the second best fight they could have done (if he fought Rampage everyone would say he is fighting a LHW).

When mittrione left the ufc he was 12 since leaving hes Only won so its bias media not giving props.

Kongo would be biring imo hed try and grapplefuck fedor.i like a hw like meathead who had pretty good success in ufc and still is in his prime hes still fast and powerful.

Id like lashley just cuz its closest thing to Brock fight wed get.

Bigfoot for vengeance but hes really on a downturn making this fight less attractive.

Just hope fedor gets a quality opponent.

why is fedor in EFN but not rizin? is it money?

I also thought Fedor and Carwin was going to happen.... but i guess that's not the case... but if it's Meathead... I feel Fedor should be back in the swing of things by then so to speak and should whip Meathead's ass. I do know Matt has some power... so, hopefully Fedor is aware of that and hopefully puts everything together... like what he's known for.

Fedor should either
1. do legend fights (vs. CroCop/Wand/Rampage/...)
2. or fight Bigfoot or Carwin

not to fight in 2nd level cage org vs OK opponent.

I prefer Fedor vs Big Foot in Rizin

Still hope they can get him on NYE even if he has to take a bit less money, they should try to work something out.

Agreed. Plus isn't Bigfoot's fight in early Nov? I can't remember. But if so, and he ends it quick, it wouldn't be hard at all to fight again at the end of the year. Mitrione is pretty much the highest ranking opponent Fedor could have fought in Bellator but the Bigfoot fight interests me much more.

Yeah, I think early November. That's right. If he gets out of that fight without injury, NYE should be very possible.

Agreed. It would have meant something for Fedor to avenge that loss and I personally would have been much more excited for it. If Fedor beats Mitrione, no one will care. I know he is ranked higher than Bigfoot right now but he just seems like a more well known version of Maldonado or someone like that.
