Fight Nights Global heads to Slovakia on March 3, where FNG 84 will be headlined by a bantamweight title fight, as defending champion Tomás Deák rematches former foe Sharaman Chupanov. Former UFC veterans Ali Bagautinov and Viktor Pesta take prominent place on the main card, as they fight Andy Young and Alexander Gladkov, respectively and Yasubey Enomoto takes on Shamil Amirov.

The first fight between Deák (17-9-1) and Chupanov ended in a controversial split decision victory for now champion, Deák. It still serves as Chupanov’s only loss. Deák won the bantamweight strap in his last fight as he beat Nikita Chistyakov in a dominant first round stoppage. Chupanov (4-1-1) has since picked up three consecutive wins, including his last bout where he defeated Jackson-Wink product Stephen Cervantes.

Seven-fight UFC veteran, Ali Bagautinov (17-7), had a fairly successful run in the UFC winning four of seven and managing to get himself a title fight with flyweight kingpin, Demetrious Johnson. His only losses in the UFC came to Johnson and former title challengers Joseph Benavidez and Kyoji Horiguchi. Since he was released by the UFC, Bagautinov suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Tyson Nam, as he took a head kick in the final seconds of the third round after dominating the majority of the fight. He has since won two on the bounce, and will look to make it a third in March. Bagautinov is set to face BAMMA veteran Andy Young (11-9).

Former UFC heavyweight, Viktor Pesta (12-4), had a somewhat dismal run with the North American promotion, losing four of his five fights, with three coming by stoppage. He’s since gone back to winning ways, picking up back to back wins over string regional competition in Michal Kita and Alexei Kudin. Pesta remains undefeated in the regional circuit and he will look to continue that streak over his next opponent, Alexander Gladkov (10-1).

Former M-1 champion, Enomoto (16-10), takes on freestyle wrestling standout, Shamil Amirov (3-0-1) who recently fought former UFC bad guy, Rousimar Palhares, in a contest which ended in a controversial split decision draw.
