Josh Barnett has been released by the UFC

After a five-year stint with the UFC, veteran heavyweight Josh Barnett has been released from his contract.

I hope Sakakibara or Coker will be reaching out to Josh Barnett.

He would be a great addition for either organization.

Oh, he'll be in RIZIN. I can't see Sakakibara not trying to get him and you can bet he'll be there by NYE. Coker may try but I could see him be a little hesitant given all the drug test failures and the recent controversy. There could be interesting fights in Bellator but who knows.

I'd like to see him back in Japan.

So many possible good fights with Barnett outside UFC.
Barnett vs. Fedor (after GP), CroCop(4th), Mitrione (after GP), Minakov, Aliakbari, rematch with Aleksander Emelianenko etc.

Barnett/Fedor would be great since we were supposed to get it ten years ago and both are still good. Minakov and Aliakbari would be interesting just because of the potential grappling we could get.

All of them would be great options it would be great though to see minakov back in bellator though he seems happy in efn man it is ironic since he left the ufc there are more options.

I still hope to see Minakov back with Bellator.
