Because of Typhoon Trami approaching Tokyo, JR will be stopping all trains at 20:00. Expect RIZIN to run fast so that the audience can get home.
Tenshin vs Horiguchi is moved to 18:00 Japan time due to the typhoon. Tbe remaining fight order will change.

Is it because the event is ending early or are they trying to get the big fights out first in case of the typhoon?

That should be in his contracts. The longer you last or if you win, you get paid more.

Very happy because of CroCop's win but it seems (at least to me) that father time is catching up with him.

Sure it is, but he still fought well.Rizin=PRIDEFC wrote:Very happy because of CroCop's win but it seems (at least to me) that father time is catching up with him.
His high kick was caught, and he avoided the takedown.
In that clinch, he landed some brutal uppercuts, then landed that finishing elbow.
Remember, he knocked out King Mo with uppercuts.
Crocop is still a hell of a fighter.
If it was up to me, they'll give Kharitonov a phone call, and have him fight Cro Cop for NYE. Cro Cop said that's probably going to be his last fight(the NYE card), if he should win this one.

By the way, it's on my mind so I'll post it.
That Canadian guy that commentates with Frank Trig, his Japanese translations are often not that good.
I appreciate him, because sometimes he catches things I miss, but I usually could do a better job than him.
At the end of the Horiguchi vs Tenshin Nakamura fight, he said that Horiguchi invited Tenshin to go fishing.
Horiguchi said, 'let's do it again next time.' and said nothing about fishing.
I rewound it, just to make sure.
Fishing='(o)tsuri'. The guy thought Horiguchi said 'tsuri ni ikimashyo' (let's go fishing).
What Horiguchi said is 'let's do it again.'
Next='tsugi'. What he actually said is 'tsugi ni ikimashyo.'
(Japanese is hard to translate into English, and there are alternate possible interpretations, although the former is the closest I think. Some other potentials:) 'I want to do it again.' 'I look forward to doing it again.'
As matter of fact, I think they might suit up again. Horiguchi might be in that NYE tournament, and they could meet in the finals. And it could have been a reference to that.
Another thing that was missed.
I think it was caught, but Tenshin said:
'I feel like I just fought an animal.'
If memory serves me right, that was correctly translated.
But the commentator then asked Horiguchi if he felt like he'd just fought an animal or a person, and Horiguchi said, 'well, a person of course, hahaha.'
Not with any ill will, but it was a missed detail, and thought I'd relay it.
