Road FC 54 - June 15 (OFFICIAL DISCUSSION)

ROAD Fighting Championship announces the opening of ROAD FC 054 which will take place on June 15, 2019 in Wonju, South Korea. The main event will be Middleweight Champion La In-Jae's first defense of the belt against top challenger Yang Hae-Jun.

Middleweight Champion La In-Jae (8-0-1, Team Korea MMA) created the changing of the guard when he defeated long-time Korean MMA fighter “Ryo” Choi Young in a blazing three round battle at ROAD FC 048. He is a dominant wrestler with powerful striking who has worn down opponent after opponent, going undefeated and showing that he can dismantle whatever game plan is brought to him with grinding precision.

Yang Hae-Jun (12-6, Team Posse) is a veteran from Spirit MC and Neofight, and rose to international acclaim at Legend FC. He has been the powerful, threatening knockout artist with an increasing cache of weapons in his arsenal. Although Yang lost in his highly anticipated return against the acrobatic Michel Pereira, he came back to choke out Lim Dong-Hwan at ROAD FC 052.

Champion La will again be tested by the power of deep experience that challenger Yang has, however La wants to prove to the world that he's no longer a prospect, but a champion.
