Bigfoot Silva Signs With Bare-knuckle FC
Tue Aug 20, 2019 1:21 am
The bare-knuckle boxing promotion announced that they have signed ex-UFC heavyweight title challenger Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva to a contract. Details on his debut will be announced soon.
Silva (19-12, 1 NC) hasn’t won a fight in four years, when he KO’d the now retired Soa Palelei at UFC 190. The last time he was in any sort of combat sports bout was a TKO loss to GLORY heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven in a horrendous mismatch. Bigfoot’s manager Alex Davis even admitted that Silva took the fight because “he needs money.”
Bigfoot was a promising fighter at one point, winning 16 out of his first 18 professional matchups. Silva has fought for multiple organizations including the Sengoku, Cage Rage K-1 Hearos, UFC, Strikeforce, and EliteXC. But he has dropped 9 out of his last 10 fights which is an obvious sign of a decline.
