Mizuto Hirota Is coming to America

Japan's Bionic Man, Former SRC, Cage Force & DEEP Lightweight champion, Mizuto Hirota has finally resurfaced after giving up his DEEP title and leaving the promotion. Rumors of Bellator picking him up are false, as the lost Road Warrior has signed with Strikeforce and will meet Pat Healy July 14.
Hirota has racked up two impressive wins over Katsunori Kikuno and Seichi Ikemoto since miraculously returning to MMA from a normally career ending injury when Shinya Aoki snapped his arm at Dynamite '09 when Hirota refused to tap out to Shinya's Hammer Lock. - http://www.mma-japan.com/

He´s fantastic but I was hoping he would sign with another promotion. Bellator would have been cool.

Hirota leaving Deep must be a huge setback for the promotion.

Well, maybe he gets a few good fights to make his name there and moves to another one when the Strikeforce ship sinks. Good luck to him.

that is good, he will fight melendez and move up in the ranking, if he went to the ufc he would fight on the facebook card

Its been like this since DEEP has began. They'll do fine like they always do, they have enough talent to keep them afloat.

Yeah, I was hoping he would end up with Bellator or another promotion. A future fight with Melendez would be cool if he gets by Healy but I would have rather seen him in a Bellator tourney. Sucks that DEEP lost such a solid champ.

I think he'll go the way of Blanco. Lose to Healy then move to FW. He's a top guy, I'm glad he'll now be getting the exposure.

I think Healy should be fighting Masvidal, if he's still signed with them. At least Hirota has a chance to win in the US with Strikeforce, I couldn't see him making much of a splash through Bellator's LW division honestly (notoriety-wise or competitively).

Sucks I wanted to see him fight Aoki in a rematch. bad move to zuffaforce. strikeforce is dead.
