The official numbers are in for “The Ultimate Fighter 15” Finale.
The UFC event, which was held at the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on June 1, earned a live gate of $195,250, according to figures released by the Nevada Athletic Commission on Wednesday.
The card featured a main event clash between Top-10 welterweights Martin Kampmann and Jake Ellenberger. After being dropped by a left hook from Ellenberger in round one, the Dane responded in the second frame, folding his foe with a knee in the clinch at the 1:40 mark.
Also, Mike Chiesa survived an early barrage from Al Iaquinta to submit the Serra-Long Fight Team member with a rear-naked choke at 2:47 of the opening round to win Season 15 of “The Ultimate Fighter.”
The event was attended by a total of 1,628 spectators. Of those in attendance, 954 paid for admission, while another 674 received complimentary tickets. There were 514 tickets that were neither sold nor comped by the UFC.

lol, this is just getting sad. They are going to have to start putting on good cards if they want people to watch. I was watching a Pride DVD today, their events were loaded from top to bottom. The ufc = ultimate fail championship.

they deserve it, every time they fail at the gate and poor ratings on the non-ppv cards, the talent on this cards is just sad....bad matchmaking and weak fights....
sad enough this clowns burried pride and put this kind of events now....

Well the Pearl isn't exactly huge by any means so they weren't going to make a huge amount of money anyways, but so many comp tickets are worrisome.
It had a decent main event and Charles Oliveira is a solid talent, but that coupled with TUF fights just aren't enough.
They need to do away with so many TUF seasons or get rid of them altogether. I do like the idea of having more international seasons or have them be the replacement completely. The talent pool that TUF usually puts out for the past few years outside of the FW/BW season have been fairly shallow (Lawrence and Jury have potential to be top ten, Chiesa will be good but never championship material, and Rinaldi has time to grow even if he missed the cut).
Cut out so many unnecessary cards and start putting on two monthly free cards in smaller venues and mid-major/underutilized markets and put on a single monthly PPV in major markets. This way they won't oversaturate with sub-par cards and put on decent to stacked cards consistently.
