Renato "Babalu" Sobral chimes in on OneFC Destiny of Warriors Empty Renato "Babalu" Sobral chimes in on OneFC Destiny of Warriors

Mon Jun 18, 2012 4:35 am
Renato "Babalu" Sobral has been in the game for eons, now. Sobral has fought with every major promotion there is and it all started with the FIGHT Network's RINGS. RINGS was the promotion that brought us several huge fighters, Nogueria and Fedor just to name a couple. He achieved greatness with the UFC, Strikeforce and Affliction. Competing for the UFC light heavyweight championship, Babalu can certainly be placed in a class of fighters that will be listed as all-time greats of the sport.

The Brazilian's accomplishments are still not fully complete. Following his signing with OneFC, it became apparent that Sobral is ready to make another run at a title and be listed amongst the top 15 in his division - a feat that is extremely difficult in this day and age. The light heavyweight division is likely the division with the deepest amount of talent in present day MMA. And while Sobral has made a title run in the UFC and captured a title in Strikeforce, OneFC is the next goal.

As Asia's largest promotion, this goal will not come easy. As OneFC has been signing fighters, they will likely be able to pick up a number of talented fighters to compete in the light heavyweight division and put on some spectacular fights for the Asian fans.

And, no doubt, Sobral is ready. As he begins his journey with OneFC, Sobral chimes in on the next chapter of his career, which begins this week at OneFC - Destiny of Warriors.
