Open tournament in mixed martial arts, dedicated to the memory of the hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Matrosov

14 October 2012. OIF «Northwest League combat sambo" holds open tournament in MMA and K-1 in concert and sports complex "Phoenix" at St. Petersburg, Pharmaceutical etc. d.2. The tournament is held with the support of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports and the Administration of the Petrograd district and is dedicated to the memory of the hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Matrosov.

Competition start at 17.00 - will be the final battle of teenagers in the ring to fight without rules with minimal restrictions. "We want to give young people the opportunity to participate in such tournaments, compete with a rival in the ring, to adapt to the rules of mixed martial arts," - says the president of the League Smirnov AS

The opening ceremony at 19.00. Spectators will see the top 10 fights, including eight fights in M-1 and 2 battle for K-1 and 2 ranking battle.

One of the main objectives of these tournaments - is to support children and youth sports in various forms of martial arts, as well as an opportunity for athletes of different categories to prove himself in the ring, as in shock, and in grappling techniques, improving sports skills, the ability to enter the international arena. Promoting sports and healthy lifestyles among young people.

The second problem - it is a tribute to the memory of the people who defend our country, the heroes of the Soviet Union and Russia, which is proud of our country. And, as a consequence, promoting patriotism among the youth of our country.
