ROAD FC LW FINAL FOUR ANNOUNCED

ROAD FC will be holding their tenth event in Busan on November 24th. This will see the Final Four of the Lightweight tournament clash to see who will make it on to the final round in the hopes of winning the Championship belt.
Vuyisile Colossa versus Nam YuiChul
Vuyisile is no stranger to Korean fans having fought Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA in front of them numerous times. He’s already faced Nam before – and the hometown favorite outwrestled him to a decision win. The South African has a new home at Epic MMA in Hong Kong where he works with four BJJ black belts and 3 Muay Thai champions on a daily basis, and proved two things against Kim SeokMo: his take down defense has improved and he still has knockout power. Nam has become the defacto spokesman for ROAD FC by saying he thinks Korean fighters should take pride in the organization and not only use it as a stepping stone to the UFC. He’s more than a little bit hungry to claim the title to prove it. And with his 1:32 KO of Masahiro Toryu, Nam has shown he is not going to let anything go to the judges next time he meets Colossa in the cage.
Lee YongJae versus Takasuke Kume
Lee was a dark horse coming into the Lightweight tournament, only because of the rising level of international competition in ROAD FC. In his tournament entrance, he took Kim WongGi almost three full rounds before devastating him with two midsection kicks and a barrage of fists to get the TKO. Lee is on a three fight win streak now, and he will need the momentum to carry him on to his next opponent, Takasuke Kume. Kume took out highly talented Kim “Armbar” ChangHyun in the first round by a slick RNC leaving nothing to chance. At 14-1-4 and riding an 8-fight submission wins streak, Kume has to be considered a dangerous opponent in this tournament. Will two ROAD FC titles go to foreigners?
Shungo Oyama will make his first title defense of the Middleweight belt. He’s torn through everything ROAD FC has thrown at him, however stepping away from the promotion has seem him garner two losses: a soccer kick KO by Ryo Kawamura when trying to take the title of King of Pancrase from him, then a surprise upset by Kazakhstan’s Asif Tagiev in RINGS. Melvin Manhoef – who made his premier in ROAD FC at 009, and incidentally KOed Kawamura three weeks later at ONE FC – asked for a shot at the belt. It will be interesting to see if ROAD FC takes him up on his offer, or gets more of its domestic talent to fill the bill.
Also on the card will be previously announced by MMA-in-Asia new signees from overseas: Luis “Beicao” Ramos, a Nova Uniao product who trains under Andre Pederneiras with the likes of Barao, Jose Aldo, and Hacran Dias, ands Diego “The Octopus” Saraiva, Bellator and UFC veteran jiujitsu black belt.
