Scott still pretending that everything is nice and rosey.
You know what? maybe it is rosey at Zuffaforce but only because everyones been putting roses on the obvious Zuffaforce grave.
Scott should just admit that hes sold out Strikeforce and now running nothing more than a carcass promotion and under the thumb of Dana "the moronic" White.

I feel more than a bit sorry for Scott Coker.
Scott's really just trying to put on a brave face. What's he gonna do say what he really thinks??? There ain't one fighter, media person or anybody that at the time been reliant on the Zuffa brain-trust for making their living... who has ever done that.
Coker's has had his almost 20 year old baby sold out from underneath him. The guys that stripped his first-born from his arms and forced it into slavery are now giving then rescinding the execution orders for his child on a weekly basis. I can't imagine the emotional strain this has been on him. He looks like he's aged 20 years since the news of the buyout he had nothing to do with first slapped him in the face.

I don't feel sorry for him a bit. He reportedly got many millions of dollars in the sale. He also could have stepped aside after the sale. He has not communicated with a lot of people who tried to be positive about SF before the sale, like me, as he did not return calls afterwards. If he ages becoming a tool of the Fertittas, that's his own fault. We all age (until they figure out how to reverse the DNA), but you age worse when your integrity is sold off.

I used to think Coker was our saviour and I liked him very much. When his business partners sold out I felt sorry for Coker. Now I get the impression he is a coward who doesn´t stand up for himself and the people who believed in him.

Scott looks and feels lost, almost like he doesn't care about the job anymore. The guy probably gets bitched at all the time by the mobster bros during conference calls.

Melendez vs. Thomson III. Really Coker? If Zuffa does not make Melendez vs. Edgar/Henderson winner that is pretty damn pathetic. They cannot even co-promote with their own damn organizations to assure the best fighters compete? What is this shit? Zuffa has a mandate stating they put the best fighters in the world against each other to determine who is the best. Bull shit. It is bad enough they will not make any co-promotional super fights with any other org. in the world but then they will not even use their own orgs. to make this statement true. WTF?
Coker sounds so damn pathetic in that interview. SF HW division was the best in the world last year and now it is gone. Yeah, I am sure he is thrilled losing his stacked HW division, in addition to all the other champions and top fighters that have been lost.
Sorry for the rant but what a fucking mess. I do feel bad for Melendez in all of this. Coker not so much. He made his millions on the deal when he and his pals sold out.

fucking word . The anger made it right BTW. It's the biggest god damned bullshit they do. For all the "good" they do making MMA more popular they do 10X the under-minding of the sport's integrity. No one, not even Fedor, has the record they could have had. How much sweeter would it have been to see Fedor KO big Tim and AA when they were both champs? The fighters legacies get shaped by Zuffa's bull shit ass policies. I was a bit pissed earlier while watching The Reem Vs Remy Bonjasky. Ironic.

I hear ya and I totally agree. The sport is flawed in a big way because of the political bull shit. So many fights never happened or happened after they lost their relevance because of this it is ridiculous.

Admittedly, Zuffa is very smart in not exposing their top fighters to other top fighters from around the world and from other promotions. These guys also always have the home ground advantage compared with other top fighters who has to travel from their gyms and homes in Europe and Asia.
Id love to see Jon Jones, AS, GSP and JDS actually challenge themselves in a ring, not under unified "wrestling" rules, travel, not have the home ground advantage, and fight top international fighters. AS and JDS hasnt lost in the UFC but have lost a few fights outside. Obviously the challenge for these two is outside the UFC.

Sadly , Scott Coker now has the same face that a dog has after being castrated by its owner.
