Wow!
This really surprises me if true. I guess Zuffa only figured out how great the talent pool is in Russia because Bellator beat them to the punch by 2 years and has been beating the crap out of them recruiting for a long time. Never an innovator. Just a follower/vulture with big pockets.
In my mind this is one of the biggest signings for anybody in the past while. Again my concern is that wet blanket UFC fighters will use the smothering point strategy, the cage and the unified 'not-much-stand'em-up' and 'no-stalling-card' rules to stifle an unbelievable striker like this. Khaliev is no slouch on the ground though. He's also got decent Russian Caucasus' wrestling just from drinking the water in Chechnya.
I'm a bit disappointed he's not going to Bellator or someplace else more interesting. Hopefully the UFC gives him 2,3, or 4 fights to acclimate here. I'm wondering if he'll stay at 185.
Adam's the kind of aggressive striker with huge, long & lightning high kick combinations that would keep Anderson on his heels all night. Can't really punch through those. Silva's never faced a guy like this.

In the UFC he will get laid on and we won´t be able to enjoy his beautiful techniques. Khaliev should have gotten an M-1 titleshot. M-1 would be perfect for him.

If that's true that is a very nice signing. Khaliev is one of the most exciting strikers to watch. The Chechens are everywhere now.

I hope that I am too. He would only add to a MW division getting pretty deep. Two things prove how bias and how much most of you don't know about the UFC. He actually won't get laid on (only agreed with that because it is funny and a big joke) because 185 in the UFC doesn't have as many wrestlers as the rest of the divisions. Also, the MW division is getting pretty deep. Just because no one can beat the champ does not mean the division is can filled. How anyone can say that with a straight face and support M-1 which is full of cans is hilarious to me.

Good to know man. Didn't mean to label you with the rest of these close minded guys. I too like to watch M-1 and pretty much anything having to do with MMA. But if someone is gonna say the UFC MW division is full of cans while posting on a PRO russian MMA sight then I will laugh at that and M-1's MW roster.

He was going to go into our rankings at MW next month since Sakarai lost to Nakamura and will be dropped. There are some other solid potential replacements though.
