Standing elbows I agree with, but I just can't be down with elbows from full guard, half guard, etc with the intent of just cutting your opponent above the brow.

Elbows are an important weapon in MMA. Only a handful of fights have ever been stopped due to elbow cut stoppage. Imagine Jon Jones without elbows. A major weapon would be lost. They are legal by Unified Rules so they should be allowed. They are a weapon in fighting and this is a fight sport. Spong with elbows would be deadly.

I have always thought if elbows on the ground are allowed then why not kicks and stomps? ex: Wand has been screwed since then.

Yeah, I always prefer full rules (soccer kicks, stomps, knees on the ground, and elbows (including the 12-6 elbow). ONE FC has the full elbows, soccer kicks, and knees, just not the stomps. If they were in a ring stomps would be safer and they could allow them.

Hopefully GLORY/DREAM goes with full rules. Let the fighters use as many weapons available to them. Art of War was sweet in China while they lasted using these rules not too long ago. Time for DREAM to pick these up.

^ I doubt they will considering that DREAM downgraded their ruleset and Glory used unified rules in their MMA bouts. Not saying its impossible though.

Well if they plan on working with 1fc then they might want to reconsider going back to rules similar to what PRIDE ran. Unified rules blows dog sacks.

I think it depends on their relationship with one another now. We still don't know if One will be working with DREAM on NYE and if Glory will even allow these kind of changes. I'd love to see the return of the 10-5/10-5-5 setting again.

Yeah, I just really hope they realize how much sense this makes. At a minimum, allow soccer kicks and stomps (in addition to the knees that are already allowed). These two rules alone can add a lot of excitement to a fight and would really set the promotion out from the rest.

Yup....At a minimum match the ONE FC rules but since they have the ring throw in stomps as well. Stomps in a cage are just too dangerous if a fighter is pinned against the cage but they are awesome in the ring.

Hope DREAM really considers this.

Hell yeah, 10-5 in non-title fights and 10-5-5 in title fights would be another awesome change they could make.

Hopefully ONE and DREAM are on NYE together. Still waiting on ONE's "H.U.G.E" announcement on their next event. I hope they follow through on that because anything less would be a major let down.
