Japan: Fedor Emelianenko has won in the category most valued Fighter MMA 2012

Japan's oldest daily sports newspaper published the results of the vote, in which readers were asked to choose the main person MMA 2012 year. Candidates: Anderson Silva, Ben Henderson, Jon Jones, Georges St. Pierre, Junior dos Santos, Takanori Gomi, Fedor Emelianenko

Retired from the active sports of 36-year-old this summer Fedor Emelianenko won the vote. Preferences were as follows:

1. Fedor Emelianenko-21%

2. Anderson Silva – 18%

3. Takanori Gomi – 17%

4. Junior dos Santos – 16%

5. Ben Henderson – 10%

6. Georges St-Pierre – 8%

7. Jon Jones – 7%

The newspaper Nikkan Sports first saw light as far back as 1946, and has a daily circulation of 1, 965, 000000 copies.

The Japanese, Russians and the Brazilians all vote for Fedor. No surprise there, he is afterall the GOAT.

^Yeah but what do sherdog posters and dana say!? lol. Fedor has entire nations behind him.

I guess his retirement brought him more attention and people are respecting him a bit more now.

Even if the others had a better year than him, i'd vote for him too. He deserves this last sign of recognition. I'd give my vot to guys like Crocop, Nog and Wand too when they retire.

GOAT is truly the most respected and loved fighter in the world not only by his fans but by the fighters themselves. No other fighter comes to mind besides big Nog and Wand
