well josh burkman vs fitch appears possible as of now.....


The win apparently set up Burkman for a fight at WSOF 3 in June with recent signee Jon Fitch – announced by WSOF President Ray Sefo prior to the fight. But Burkman wasn't so sure about that immediately following his win.

"I'm going to talk to them about it," Burkman said. "I think I deserve a title shot. I beat Harris, I beat Simpson, and those are two of the best guys outside of the UFC. I think Jon Fitch needs to earn his title shot and then we can talk about it.

during the telecast ray sefo announced the winner of burkman vs simpson as the fitch opponent.....so we got a fight in june!!!!!!

That would cool. Hopefully they start setting up there title contenders in the LW division. The winner of this should be at the top of the list.

Great to see Rolles on their next card as well. I hope he takes out Huckaba. Rolles will also be fighting for ONE FC. Would be cool to see him with belts in both orgs.

Kickboxer Tyrone Spong's much-anticipated second MMA fight will take place at World Series of Fighting 3 later this year.

Spong (1-0), who was victorious in his MMA debut in November, will meet Angel DeAnda (11-2) on June 14 in Las Vegas, MMAFighting.com confirmed with WSOF president Ray Sefo.

The bout will serve as the card's co-main event. Jon Fitch vs. Josh Burkman will be the WSOF 3 main event.

The 27-year-old Spong improved his kickboxing record to 69-6-1 (1 no contest) last month when he defeated Remy Bonjasky at Glory 5. At WSOF 1 late last year, the Blackzilian member knocked out Travis Bartlett in his MMA debut.

DeAnda has won his last four fights in a row. His most recent win came against veteran Anthony Ruiz in November.

A Las Vegas venue for WSOF 3, which will air live on NBC Sports Network, has yet to be announced.

The third World Series of Fighting event now has a venue: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

WSOF officials today announced additional details for the June 14 card, which airs on NBC Sports Network with previously announced co-headliners of welterweights Jon Fitch (24-5-1) vs. Josh Burkman (25-9) and light heavyweights Tyrone Spong (1-0) vs. Angel DeAnda (11-2).

Two new bouts are slated for the four-bout televised main card.

In heavyweight action, Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Rolles Gracie (8-1), a onetime UFC fighter and recent ONE FC competitor, meets Dave Huckaba (20-5), who's won nine of his past 10 fights while competing primarily on California's regional circuit. Sixteen of his 20 wins have come via knockout.

In the first televised bout, undefeated lightweight prospect Justin Gaethje (8-0), who recently upset big-show vet Gesias Cavalcante at WSOF 2, takes on Brian Cobb (20-7), a former UFC and MFC fighter who's won five of his past six fights, including a WSOF 1 bout with Ronys Torres.

On the untelevised prelims, a previously reported bout between lightweights John Gunderson (34-14-2) and Dan Lauzon (16-4) has come company. The new addition includes undefeated middleweights Krasimir Mladenov (8-0) vs. Kendrick Miree (5-0).

"We are coming off a spectacular event showcasing some of the world's greatest mixed martial arts athletes and up-and-coming talent of the sport and are looking forward to returning to Las Vegas with another outstanding night of world-class competition in the World Series of Fighting cage on NBC Sports Network," WSOF President Ray Sefo stated.
