Does the winner of the LW tourney fight for the title?
DEEP staying busy with 3 upcoming events, got to give them props.

Yep, they wanted to establish a new immediate contender since the Lightweight division has pretty much been used up since last year. Winner doesn't stand too much of a chance.

Ueda and Miyazaki are my picks to make the final.
I like both Kondo's and Uhara, but Hamamura and Kishimoto are both tough opponents. Kishimoto, especially, since he's the best DEEP LW not named Kitaoka, Kikuno, or Nakamura.

from mma-in-asia:
On July 20, 2013, contestants in the DEEP Lightweight Grand Prix 2013 who have made it to the semifinals have been matched up to determine who will be the Championship challengers. All reserve tickets are said to be sold out, so it’s standing room only for this weekend’s event.
DEEP Future King Yutaka Ueda has drawn PRIDE era Tsuyoshi Kosaka‘s protege Ryosuke Togashi. Ueda’s propensity to engage in his Grabaca grappling game has given him wins and losses, however maturity in the tournament has seen him more cautiously climb the brackets by outpointing his two opponents. Togashi’s freak KOs in the tournament – especially over Luiz Andrade – have turned him from dark horse into contender. There should be some throws and sub attempts in this one.
In the second semifinal, well-rounded Naoto Miyazaki meets the equally well-rounded Yoichi Fukumoto. Miyazaki’s only two losses were the result of disqualifications, brought on by heavy knees. Although he works well off his back, he’ll look to finish standing. Fukumoto’s pulled ahead in his career since joining DEEP, and the decade-long MMA veteran will be making a run at the challenge with Wayjutsu Keishukai planning in his corner.
Ken Hamammura and Juri Ohara, who lost to the second semifinal contestants respectively, will contest in the tournament reserve match. Elsewhere on the card, DEEP takes on JEWELS fighters with a women’s bantamweight bout featuring stand out karateka Shizuka Sugiyama versus Valkyrie vet Chisa Yonezawa. Katsuhiko Nomura is out with an injury so his bout with Kenjiro Takahashi has been scrapped.
