*Spoiler - 2012 RUS Combat Sambo Championships.

Fedor won his first two matches today. One against a young fighter he made look bad and another against a fair-haired giant he made look back too. Not bad as the first.

Both fighters has names that looked like they were in a foreign language that I could not read. The announcers said their names as well but it sounded link they were using a foreign language. Everyone there must be KGB pumping out disinformation to my decadent western ears.

My best take and translation of what happened...

Fedor's fight #1 short. He ended it when opponent went for single leg and got good hold of one. Fedor laid back onto canvas collapsing his left leg and threw young Russian peasant flying through air back over himself laying on the mat. Opponent was stunned. Fedor got quickly up as opponent started also get up. From standing position Fedor threw Sergei-type right upper-cut that caught opponent as was trying to stand. Opponent collapse like Kremlin in 1989. Opponent no longer able to continue.

Fedor's fight #2 longer. Was against blond Nordic-luking giant. 200-208 centimeter, young, very good athlete. Good HW MMA prospect. Fedor chop him down and took his back too finish. I think Fedor had good throw. Can't remember.. too much wodka for streaming fight.

Any word on Aleksander?

From what I can tell this just happened during this event but it doesn't sound like either of those fights you mentioned. Maybe Fedor had a 3rd fight or it could be older but was listed as just happening.

Looks like Fedor just won the HW division. Him vs Aleks in the finals. I turned it on as they got their medals, on sherdog it sounds like Aleks either just came out and gave up or let Fedor beat him without a fight.

Edit: Here is Fedor vs Aleks. I still want to see Fedor and Alek's other fights though if anyone finds them.

Classy move by Aleks to let the big brother win, or Fedor is that much better than Aleks. I admire them both.

Aleks have said repeatedly they will never fight and Fedor is always number 1. The commentators were funny:

Commentator 1: I wonder why it took Fedor so long.
Commentator 2: I think Fedor lost a position and also Aleks is much heavier.

Yeah, I really like the respect they show. American fans always want family and friends to beat each other up for their entertainment but it shows real class to let your older brother or trainer win. I would never fight my brother for real, if we were in a tourney like this he said he would do the same thing as Aleks, though I would be fine with doing grappling only. We are in different weight classes anyway so it wouldn't happen but just saying.

I really like Combat Sambo, it's like MMA with scoring and a Gi top. The Gi top makes all of the Sambo/Judo guys way more dangerous. People who think MMA fighters are automatically the best fighters in the world forget in real life you have jackets on, shirts on, etc and a good Judo/Sambo guy can use that to smash your face into the ground with a nice throw.

Growing up in Canada playing and watching hockey, on the ice the jersey is a weapon used against your opponent in a fight. You learn very quickly to get rid of you shirt/jersey as quick as possible off the ice. If you don't, like in a hockey fight, you may very shortly end up with it over your head and becoming a blind pinata for a boot fucking from your opponent. Always take your shirt off if you can in a street fight.

^lol, I'm not that great, I am pretty sure I missed one of Aleks other fights. I either missed it on that video or it's on another one somewhere because he should have had 4 total like Fedor (one of them obviously being the one against Fedor).

Fedor fought Aleks in the finals, and won quickly.

I want the video of that.
