Global-MMA Ranking Rules

*This ranking system includes fighters that are not under exclusive contract to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

*Top level fighters that leave the UFC may be ranked in subsequent rankings.

*Fighters that sign exclusively to the UFC will be removed from the rankings.

*Rankings are based on a fighter's overall career results and recent performance.

*A fighter will be ranked number one if he defeats the number one ranked fighter in the weight division except under certain rare circumstances where the number two ranked fighter clearly deserves to move into the number one ranking position.

*Victories over highly ranked fighters and losses against non-ranked opponents have a larger effect on the fighters ranking position.

*A fighter will not necessarily take the place of his opponent in the rankings after a victory or a loss.

* A fighter can move up a maximum of three spots with impressive victories over a fighter ranked below him; however, there is no limit if the fighter earned a title or a tournament championship with the victory.

* An unranked newly crowned champion who earned a title in a major league MMA promotion can enter the top ten even with a victory over an unranked fighter.

*A fighter will drop in the rankings if he does not fight regularly against high level competition.

*A top ten ranked fighter can become ranked in another weight division after one or more wins in his new weight class.

*A fighter can be ranked in two different weight divisions.

*Champions and fighters from prominent promotions will have an advantage over champions and fighters from promotions with lesser competition.

*A fighter will be removed from the rankings if he does not fight for two years.

*Fighters that are signed to multiple promotions will have their promotions listed based on the following criteria: 1) championship held in a promotion, 2) predominant promotion the fighter fights in, 3) promotion
last fought in.

*Rankings will be updated every month.

Great job guys! Keep it up!

Some suggestions for next time!

David branch at mw not the most exciting but he has a win in the mw gp for wsof, IMO ahead of guseinov and god knows ahead of jay silva!

Speaking of which Sam alvey the mw mfc champ has a ko win over silva this same year!

Elvis mutapcic vs jt money Taylor winner!

Rick Glenn at 145 is a monster!

Thanks Willie.

If Mutapcic wins, he's in for sure and if not Taylor will be added. Guseinov will start getting passed up in the rankings as he hasn't done much lately.

Alvey was impressive. Now that he has the MFC belt he will probably sign to UFC, Bellator, or WSOF like every other previous MFC champion. They are good at building up fighters. He has some big wins and will be considered in future MW rankings. MW is starting to be stacked up like LW and now HW as well. Makes it difficult with only 15 spots to fill. Eun Soo Lee has not done much recently either so he may be dropping soon as well.

Glenn is on the radar.

Alvey should probably be in MFC for awhile, actually. He's already been through the UFC and Bellator in recent times. I wouldn't be surprised to see WSOF pick him up after a lengthy win streak.

Glenn isn't anywhere near the top 15, imo. Featherweight is just far too deep.

Alvey would be a smart pickup for WSOF. I could see him going there soon.

He will be dropping or getting passed up soon. M-1 needs some new MWs to fight for the title and top contender spots.

Been following Ford for a while, since he started in MFC.  He is a good fighter with a lot of potential.  If Amoussou loses his next fight or if Ford is impressive in WSOF, will get him in for sure. I thought I read Amoussou has a fight coming up but not sure when.

His only loss to top ranked Douglas Lima!

He should be in the contenders at least
Been following Ford for a while, since he started in MFC.  He is a good fighter with a lot of potential.  If Amoussou loses his next fight or if Ford is impressive in WSOF, will get him in for sure.  I thought I read Amoussou has a fight coming up but not sure when.
Fair enough! The guy is a monster and he has dedicated full time to mma now!
Agreed....Been a fan of his for a while now.  I seen almost his whole career from his early fights in MFC on AXS to Bellator and now WSOF. Would be cool to see him as a title contender there.

Amoussou fights next week against Paul Bradley

Ah, that's it. I thought I saw he was fighting sometime soon. Thanks.

I think Campuzano is either a Legacy fighter or Shooto fighter since he just fought at VTJ.  I can't find anything official on his signing to WSOF.

If Khalidov wins in December against a good opponent and looks impressive he should probably get the number 1 spot at MW. Let me know if you don't agree. I think number 1 and number 2 spot between Shlemenko and Khalidov is almost a toss up. Always gave Shlemenko the edge because of the tear he has been on in Bellator but Khalidov has been impressive as well.

OK, I switched his org. Would be cool if he fights for Shooto still and Legacy.

Unless that fighter is Okami, I think Shlemenko should stay ahead.
